We enjoyed the hotel, it was recently renovated and had ideal location short walk to the centre of town and the main Mosque and old Souq and markets. The property room was spotless and authentic with futton beds and private bathroom, as example

The rooms at Bait Al Aqr were amazing! They had a patio with a mountain view, which made me feel like I was in a dream. The rooms were air-conditioned and had free WiFi, perfect for someone like me who loves to stay connected. The city view from the rooms was also a delight. My favorite room had a private entrance, making me feel like I had my own little sanctuary. The twin room was cozy with a seating area, and the double room had a tea/coffee maker, so I could have my favorite beverage anytime. Oh, and every room had an electric tea pot, which was so convenient.
But, I have to be honest, I wasn't a big fan of the bathrobe in the twin room. It just didn't feel as comfy as I thought it would be.

Our stay at this hidden gem was absolutely mind-blowing! The friendly staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The location in the heart of the Al Aqr district was super convenient for exploring the city. The traditional building had a perfect blend of history and modern amenities, with air conditioning and WiFi. The rooftop terrace with cozy cushions was a jaw-dropping spot to relax and take in the views. The spacious and clean rooms, along with the comfortable beds, ensured a restful sleep. The staff's passion for sharing the local culture was evident, and we appreciated the free barbecue dinner and farewell gift of dates. We also loved the quick walk to the souk and the convenient communal area with a kettle and water cooler. it was an unforgettable experience and we can't wait to come back!

We had a fantastic stay at Bait Al Aqr in the old city center. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the Nizwa market and fort. There was also a traditional restaurant nearby and a rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Communication with the owner was excellent and we even received a small gift upon departure. Totally recommended for a unique and satisfying experience!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

the room upstairs had a private separate bathroom and a large terrace, which was really nice. the owners were friendly and helpful, making sure we were comfortable during our stay. the room itself was basic but nice, which is exactly what you would expect from a traditional house. Downstairs, there was free water and tea available. the highlight for me was the incredibly well-decorated rooms, with a perfect blend of old world charm and modern aesthetics. the bed was also very comfortable, the best I have stayed on in Oman. the staff and owners were welcoming, and I appreciated being able to contact them via WhatsApp for any needs or questions. the rooftop terrace was a fantastic place to relax in the evenings, with comfy cushions and plenty of room. a great place to stay with a perfect location. Cons: Nothing, everything was great! 👌.

The location of this place was great, with convenient parking nearby. The rooms were beautifully decorated, giving off a charming and old-world vibe. The rooftop terrace was a fantastic spot to relax, with comfortable cushions and plenty of space. The staff and owners were friendly and made sure we felt welcome, even providing complimentary tea and coffee. The beds were comfortable, and having a private bathroom with a shower was a nice touch.
The soundproofing in the rooms was not the best, as we could hear noises from other guests and doors shutting, making it a bit difficult to sleep. There was also a recurring mechanical noise that took some getting used to.
